School of Civil Engineering and Geosciences

Staff Profile

Dr Cees van der Land

Lecturer in Geosciences

I’m a geologist studying modern and ancient carbonates, from recent deep-water coral covered carbonate mounds to carbonate reservoir rocks. I’m particularly interested in the impact of post-depositional processes on paleoenvironmental proxies and the pore architecture. Phd research assessing the impact of diagenesis on carbonate mound formation. Post-doctoral research on carbonate rocktyping and diagenesis using network models.
