Newcastle University holds open days for prospective undergraduate students in the summer and autumn each year.
Open Days are your opportunity to explore the University before you apply.
All of our courses are showcased and you will be able to see:
- our excellent teaching and learning facilities
- the campus on one of our campus tours
- University student accommodation
- other parts of student life such as sport or the Union
Post Application Visit Day
After you apply, if we make you an offer you will be invited to a Post Application Visit Day.
The day includes:
- a detailed review of your course
- a full tour of our facilities
- a one to one chat with a member of staff
You will also meet current students and get time to talk to them away from staff and parents to hear what studying with us is really like.
We strongly encourage you to attend a Post Application Visit Day, even if you visited us before you apply. You'll be surprised how much more there is to hear about.
The one to one chat is for you, not for us. Use the time to ask the staff member about your chosen course and university life. We try to use the chat to learn more about you as an individual, and it adds a lot to what we can get from your UCAS personal statement.
The notes we make are used to support your application rather than 'catch you out'.
We hold Postgraduate Open Days for prospective postgraduate students to come and look around the campus and talk to staff and students.
