Delivering Policy with Traffic and Environmental Monitoring

This short course provides an insight into how an integrated traffic and inexpensive pervasive environmental monitoring system can help to deliver national and local policy objectives. Participants will learn about:

• The range of precision monitoring systems available on the market and their role in monitoring hotspots
• The health of the city and how inexpensive but less accurate pervasive monitoring can be used to better understand the causes and assess the effects of air quality management measures
• The importance of an integrated database platform and the role of historic data for delivering policy objectives

This course is aimed at Local Authorities and Consultants engineers and managers.

The course commences at 10:00, with registration from 09:45, and finishes at 16:30.

The course is based on the internationally recognised research that Margaret, Anil and their team are involved in. Combined with their extensive experience of working with Local Authorities and other partners, the course is thus informed by both the latest research and by experience of practical implementation.
