Two postgraduate programmes can currently be studied by Flexible Learning within the School. Flexible Learning methods include block residential weeks (requiring attendance at the University), and distance learning materials provided online, allowing students to study at their own time and at their own pace.

The following flexible learning programmes have been accredited by CIWEM:
Taught Modules on these Programmes may be taken as self contained CPD courses, suitable for practising professionals who wish to advance their knowledge in specific Subjects. Modules on the Programmes are accredited for contribution to Continuing Professional Development under the CIWEM CPD scheme.
The Programmes offer flexible start dates, and students who are accepted onto the Programmes after September do not need to wait until the following September to commence their studies.
For the award of MSc, candidates must successfully complete an 80-credit dissertation (equivalent to 40 ECTS credits) along with coursework and examinations associated with Modules worth 100 credits (50 ECTS credits), over a period of up to five years.
The award of Diploma requires completion of a 40-credit dissertation and coursework and examinations worth 80 credits, over a period of up to five years.
