Claire is a research fellow and part time PhD student at the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex.  

Her principal research interest is in energy futures focusing on the development of narrative scenarios for the UK. The role for energy-economy models in scenario development processes is also being researched.

In her PhD research Claire is exploring the application and interaction of resource constraints in energy-economy models and implications for a transition to a low carbon economy. Claire has also been a research fellow at the Parliamentary Office of Science & Technology (POST) where she researched and developed the POSTnote “Future of Natural Gas for the UK”.

Claire works on several CESI work packages, including:
