Welcome to the Extended and Full Service Schools network webpage, where you will find lots of resources and further information from our recent event ‘Moving forward: Extended schools and services into the future’. The event was organised by Prof Liz Todd and Karen Laing of the Research Centre for Learning and Teaching and was supported by the Newcastle University Social Renewal Fund. The aim of the event was to provide schools and LAs with ideas, information, and contacts to continue to develop practice in extended schools and to look at the role of Newcastle and Manchester Universities in supporting this development.
Next steps
We plan from time to time to send out briefings on extended schools that would be similar in nature to this short document. If you would like to be put on a mailing list for this please send an email to Karen Laing
We would be happy to receive any feedback and ideas that you may have, either about the event, or about the future of extended services in general.
We are also happy to talk to you about helping you to develop or evaluate your services.
