Postgraduate Study

The Centre for Gender and Women's Studies provides a number of different resources for postgraduates. We run an MA in Gender Research, and also welcome applications from graduates interested in research degrees (MPhil and PhD).

Events include a seminar series, conferences and workshops. In addition to these activities, there is a CGWS mailbase list which provides a forum for members of the Centre to stay in contact with each other. It's a great way of keeping up to date with what's going on, exhanging ideas, and for more general enquiries like references, or just inspiration!

We also have a lively reading group on gender (contact Edmund.Coleman-Fountain@ncl.ac.uk). We meet monthly, talk about a particular text, and go for a drink afterwards. If you don't already attend, please feel free to come along - new members are very welcome, as are suggestions for interesting readings.
