Academic Quarter

The latest expansion of the Campus for Ageing and Vitality was realised in early 2012 with the completion of the Newcastle Biomedical Research Building (NBRB).

The NBRB was funded through a mix of NIHR, University and ERDF funding and brings together clinical practitioners, researchers and businesses under one roof.

This is the final stage in the development of the Academic Quarter which includes the Clinical Ageing Research Unit and the Wolfson Research Centre and represents a £40M investment in the world-class ageing research being carried out at Newcastle University.
