[Bedson building] The School is renowned for its excellence in teaching and research. It is home to world-class scientists whose enthusiasm for chemistry pervades every part of the curriculum.

Research thrives in this environment and is promoted by state-of-the-art facilities and resources. On-going research topics range from applied to fundamental and from synthesis to spectroscopy. We have a vibrant postgraduate community and numerous MSc and PhD programmes are in place.

We are actively looking for ways to strengthen our links with local industry and schools. Short courses, collaborative research projects, specialised training and assistance with key teaching elements represent important means by which we can apply our expertise to urban and corporate needs.
