NEPIC(The North East Process Industry Cluster) is organising a one day symposium between its members and the Chemistry Departments at Newcastle, Durham, York and Leeds Universities who are working together with the aim of collaborating in the area of sustainable chemistry and providing research expertise to Companies in the Region. “This is an exciting new initiative” says Professor Mike Green, Head of Chemistry at the University of Newcastle “And clearly demonstrates the ability of Universities in the region to work together to the benefit of local Industry”. The meeting will act as a showcase for the research being carried at the Universities which will be of immediate relevance to the local Chemical Section and will highlight opportunities that could not be realised by the Chemistry Departments working in isolation.
The Meeting will be held at Ramside Hall, Durham on the 24th April. A copy of the programme is available here. Details of the NORSC(Northern Universities Sustainable Chemistry Initiative) can be found here.
