The School Office is currently being relocating to a purpose built reception area on the Second floor of the Bedson building next to our state of the art Organic and Inorganic Teaching Laboratories
The area will consist of office accommodation for the Head of School, Deputy Head of School as well as eight Administrative and support staff who will be far better placed to interact with students and handle any queries and issues that they, and visitors, may have . 'Interaction with Students and Feedback are key School objectives as we move forward' said Andrew Crawford, School Estates Manager. 'The new School Office will greatly enhance the student experience by creating a modern hub where any issues can be rapidly resolved'
This area will be the latest of many refurbishments that have taken place within the last 12 months. Others have included The Faraday Room (a general meeting / communal area), Room 2.49, a seminar room with modern IT and conference facilities and a new state of the art Physical Chemistry Teaching Laboratory which will be complete by the end of this month.
With other upgrades in the pipeline including undergraduate and postgraduate common rooms and staff offices as well as excellent lecture theatres, this demonstrates the commitment of the University and The School Of Chemistry to provide first class teaching and research facilities to all students and staff.
