The Erasmus Exchange Programme is funded by the European Union and offers stages for students with duration from 3 to 12 months. We want to make it possible for every student studying at the School of Chemistry in Newcastle to gain experience abroad, even if she/he is not inscribed in our MChem with Study Abroad Programme. In this manner also BSc Students can conduct research in another country for 3 months during the summer for instance.
Research groups are especially active in summer and Erasmus students are very welcome at our Partner Universities (see here) to enjoy both, a scientific project and the summer in another country. All European Partner Universities offered in the Study Abroad programme can also be visited for 3 or 6 month stages by our students. More information about the Erasmus Exchange Programme can be found on the International Students Homepage or directly at the Erasmus Mundus Homepage of the European Union.
