Mechanical Workshop
Design and manufacture of research prototypes to individual specifications, using a range of materials including modern plastics, stainless steels, aluminum, brass and precious metals. A wide range of specialised instrumentation has been built in the workshop, including sophisticated equipment for electrochemistry, laser spectroscopy, photophysics and adsorption science.
In addition, we provide repair and maintenance facilities for many different types of scientific apparatus, including vacuum and air pumps. Our skilled engineers are able to design new instruments, interface existing equipment and modernise older kit for new applications.
