Research Interests
Stochastic kinetic computational modelling of processes related to nutrient sensing and their role in ageing. In particular, I am investigating the Insulin- and Insulin-like Signalling pathway and the behaviour of the FOXO class of transcription factors, which mediate many stress responses. These models will be connected with phenotypes such as the effect of fetal undernutrition using Life History Theory.
Other Expertise
Structural aspects of biomolecular interactions, especially protein-protein interactions. The computational prediction of the structure and affinity of protein-protein and protein-nucleic acid complexes using Molecular Dynamics simulation, docking, and other techniques.
