Location: CLT 701
Time/Date: 5th April 2012, 12:30 - 14:00
This talk will introduce a new project we started on February 1, 2012. This is a 4-year EPSRC platform grant jointly run by the CS and EEE schools, with John Fitzgerald, Cliff Jones, Paul Watson and Alex Yakovlev contributing as co-investigators. Sascha Romanovsky is the PI. In TrAmS-2 we plan to extend our contribution to rigorous and model-based approaches to the design and analysis of ambient computing systems; in particular, we will address the challenges created by the increasingly urgent need to manage the use of limited resources and to provide trust in the new ambient environment enabled by cloud computing. This seminar is 1.5 hour long and will consist of informal presentations given by all investigators about their visions of the future research in the relevant areas. We plan to make it as informal as possible. The seminar will start with a brief intro to the project.
