The project is the design and development of an online membership application. The candidates will be working as a team with close supervision by senior staff at Status Digital and will gain experience of bringing a project from a client's requirements all the way to release. This is a complete project, we are looking for candidates who are able to work as a team, meet deadlines while constantly refining the application during the course of the project. We are looking for candidates to fit in one of two roles, Web Designer or Web Developer.
As a Web Designer, you will be responsible for the visual and UX design of the web application. You will be responsible for takings client requirements and producing wireframes and visual designs, refining these designs as the project progresses. You will also be required to build the web pages resulting from these designs, working closely with a Web Developer when required. The primary role of the Web Designer is to design all visual and UX experiences of the application and to assist Web Developers (when required) to build and test the web application. You will need strong web design skills and knowledge of implementing designs as web pages using HTML and CSS.
As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for the technical design and build of the web application. You will be responsible for implementing the designs provided by a Web Designer. You will need strong programming skills, ideally ASP.NET and C# but experience of any programming language and the willingness to learn will be acceptable. Knowledge of working with databases and SQL is also required. You will also need knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and will be working alongside web designers to build and test the web application. The primary role of the Web Developer is to build the online application however you will also be involved in the design process feeding back to Web Designers as required.
