Dr Harold Fellermann

Lecturer

Research

I am working since more than ten years at the interface between computer science and mathematics, on the one hand, and biology and biotechnology, on the other hand. With a background in mathematical modelling and theoretical computer science, my current research spans from computational method development to laboratory supervision and back.

My current research focusses on in-vitro and in-vivo molecular computing, based on the biophysics of DNA strand displacement in the area of bio-nano-technology, as well as on genetic regulation of encoding DNA in the area of synthetic biology.
