ENCRESS - European Network of Clubs for REliability and Safety of Software

The aims of ENCRESS are to facilitate technology transfer among and between users, systems developers and researchers, and to provide rapid dissemination of research results and technology to assist the achievement and assessment of safety and reliability in systems dependent on software. ENCRESS is building up a group of individuals with focussed interests on the safety and reliability of software and systems; this group will constitute a network of national clubs based on a model which has been a proven success in the U.K. A typical club member will be an engineer from industry with a need to keep abreast of relevant technical issues. The national club activities will be largely autonomous, but the wider network will ensure that local benefits can be widely disseminated.
