Towards Automatic Analysis of Behaviour Changes in Livestock as a Tool for Early Disease Prediction

To explore computational behaviour analysis in a farm environment. More specifically the team will analyse group behaviour of pigs with the objective of early detection of sick animals (to prevent disease spread). This project is explicitly meant to be pilot work for joint proposal writing activities for TSB. The team will explore the challenges of sensing (basically: tracking) the animals in a farm environment (indoors), and those related to unsupervised analysis of group behaviour and detection of changes therein (using a graphical model approach). The project will fund resources for one RA for four months.
