Students who are likely to be eligible to attend the December 2012 ceremonies will be contacted by email on Friday 14 September 2012 and asked to complete the Graduation Form. The deadline for applications is Monday 15 October 2012. Do not wait until you have finished your course before submitting your form – it may be too late. All invited students should complete a form, whether or not they wish to attend a Congregation ceremony.
Completing the form reserves your place at a ceremony but only students who have successfully completed their degree or course by Wednesday 14 November 2012 will have their place confirmed.
Research degree students should bear this date in mind (14 November 2012) with regard to their examination by viva and subsequent submission of their hardbound thesis. Research students should seek advice from their Graduate School, if necessary.
Due to limited capacity in King's Hall, places for graduates at the congregations will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Early application is therefore advisable. If ceremonies reach full capacity, our website will indicate this and any further applicants will be advised that their name is on a waiting list for a place. In the unlikely event of any candidate not securing a place at the December ceremonies, please note that there will be Congregations held in July 2013 and December 2013.
If you do not receive an invitation
If you wish to attend the December 2012 congregations but you have not received an invitation email on Friday 14 September 2012, you can request one here. Application login details will be sent to you within five working days of your request. (**Please note: this form will be activated on Monday 17 September 2012**).
If you wish to attend a ceremony in July 2013, please visit our website again in February 2013, when the application information for these ceremonies will be published.
We also have checklists of what to do before the day and on the day of your ceremony.
