Before the Day - Checklist for all Candidates (December 2013 Congregations)

A separate checklist is available for On the Day

  • Note the date and time of your ceremony.
  • By 14 October 2013, submit an online application to attend your ceremony. You will receive an email from the Congregations Office during week beginning 9 September 2013, inviting you to apply to attend your ceremony. If you do not receive this email by mid-September 2013, you will be able to request the email by clicking here, which will enable you to apply to attend. If you are reading this after 14 October 2013 and have not applied to attend but want to attend, please contact us - it may still be possible for you to be offered a place.
  • During week beginning 21 October 2013, receive an e-mail confirming your reserved place and your ticket allocation.
  • By 13 November 2013, pay for any extra tickets you've been allocated. The email which you receive during week beginning 21 October 2013 (your ticket allocation email) will tell you how to do this.
  • By 13 November 2013, pass your course.
  • By 13 November 2013, clear any debts to the University.
  • Towards the end of November 2013, receive an e-mail confirming your place. Places will only be confirmed for students who have passed their course and do not owe over £100 to the University.
  • By 22 November 2013, book your academic dress. There are two ways to do this: either by submitting the Gown Hire Form or by visiting Gray and Son's website.
  • If necessary, request an invitation letter from the Congregations Office to support a visa application. There is more information about this on the International Visitors pages.
