Deniz Sarica, a postgraduate student in the School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development won the prize for best academic poster at the 86th Annual Conference of the Agricultural Economics Society this month.  Deniz’s poster outlined her research on free trade in Mediterranean agricultural produce, focusing on her homeland of Turkey.  Dr Lionel Hubbard who, with Dr Phil Dawson supervises Deniz’s research, said: “The Agricultural Economics Society is one of the world's leading associations of professional and academic agricultural economists.  This recognises both the quality of Deniz’s research and her skill at communicating the results.”
