The Clinical research Facility is located in the Leazes Wing of the Royal Victoria Infirmary. The facility was opened in April 2005 by Professor Dame Sally Davies and is a collaboration between Newcastle University and Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Headed by Professor Mark Walker, the CRF’s highly-trained staff are capable of setting up, negotiating and delivering all phases of clinical trials in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Standards.
