Dr Sara Friedl

Background

Dr Sara Friedl studied biology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and obtained her PhD from Technische Universität München in 2013. Her PhD studies at the German Heart Centre Munich involved genome-wide expression analysis of human bypass grafts with different degrees of atherosclerosis. From 2012 to 2015, Sara worked as a post-doctoral associate in the Chen lab at Singapore-MIT-Alliance for Research and Development in Singapore investigating malaria infection in a humanised mouse model.
In October 2016 she has taken over the role as Research Director for the Synthetic Portabolomics Project.

Research

At the moment, Sara is not actively involved in scientific Research, but coordinates the entire Portabolomics Research Project.
