KEVI students win Culture Lab film experience

Students from a Morpeth school used Culture Lab technology to make their own version of Star Wars

Five students from Morpeth's Kind Edward VI School got the chance to visit Newcastle University's Culture Lab recently, following their first place win in the Sci-Cast North East Science Film Competition last year. The students, who had created their own film called Rocket Wars using homemade bottle rockets, were shown round Culture Lab by Digital Media student Ko Le Chen. Ko Le then worked with the students to produce their own movie version of Star Wars using Culture Lab's green screen. Physics teacher Geoff Fox who accompanied the students said: "They had the adventure of a lifetime, an experience that was out of this world."
