France's HIGH WOLF (http://www.myspace.com/highwolfmusic) probably fits best at home on Los Angelian experimental imprints like Not Not Fun with all that neo-mysticality and celestial feelings. Releases like "Animal Totem" split aesthetics between ultra-old Aztec ruins and super modern temples ie shopping malls/plastic airport oasis. Either way, their jams are constantly listenable in their rhythmic and drifting compositions, paddled by various light percussions and swirling repetitions.

"High Wolf uses loops, percussive sounds, fuzzy keyboards and obscure sunken melodies to create a ritual space that combines aspects of exotica, ethno-flux, drone and minimalism while skirting the kinda haunted forests of tone previously the domain of Spencer Clark and James Ferraro." ANANAS PYRAMIDALIS (http://www.myspace.com/dogfrogdotogg) scuffs up dub terrains into Caretaker-style brokedown grandeur, crafting hypertextural jams that summon all manner of weird memories and hypnotic states. 1/3 of the Golden Oaks Three Billion franchise venturing out solo, totally zoned extended tone workouts refracted into xerox fountains of microtone via cassette wow & digital flutter.
