Research and event spaces:
Enquiries by University staff and students about use and bookings of the following spaces can be submitted through our online enquiry form.

Performance and event space (Space 4 & Space 5):
Two connected spaces that can host up to 50 people separately, or up to 150 when combined. A listed sprung floor make these ideal for energetic and more physically demanding activities, while the sound system, HD projection system and ceiling mounted gantry mean that they can be used for creative experimentation, formal presentations and collaborative workshops. Theatre-quality curtains enable adjustments to be made to the acoustics in the space, and provide black out for film screenings.

Seminar and workshop space (Space 7):
A flexible seminar or meeting space for up to 30 people seated theatre style or 22 people boardroom-style. The room has wired and wireless connectivity to the University network and dedicated computer projection.

Recording Studio (Space 6):
An industry-standard recording studio facility including an anechoic 'live room', a fully-fitted control room and a variety of MIDI devices, multichannel monitoring facilities and a small selection of instruments and amplifiers, portable recording devices and speakers. Professional mixing or mastering facilities and technical support are not provided as standard.

Multimedia Labs
Two high quality HD video editing systems in a quiet, comfortable, dedicated environment. Both labs are equipped with Intel-based Mac editing systems including Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, Logic and a variety of open source tools.
