Research Interests

Vassilis Tselios is an economic geographer with a background in planning and regional development engineering. His research centers around the spatial analysis of socioeconomic phenomena and on applied work in economic geography. More specifically, his fields of research include regional economic growth, labour markets, inequalities, education, well-being and welfare state. From methodological point of view, he has a strong interest in applied spatial and dynamic econometrics (esp. panel data techniques) and in applied multivariate analysis (esp. structural equation models). His methods also include spatial statistics and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).

Project: ‘DYNREG – Dynamic Regions in a Knowledge-Driven Global Economy: Lessons and Implications for the EU’, financed by the EU 6th framework Program for Research and Technology; Project coordinator: Economic and Social Research Institute (ERSI), Dublin, Ireland (Jan 2006 – Dec 2008)
