25. Data Protection Officer
25.1 The University deals with Data Protection from within the Information Systems and Services and the relevant officer may be contacted as follows:

25.2 All Subject Access Requests and third party requests for personal data will be handled by the Data Protection Officer in the first instance.
25.3 The Data Protection Officer is responsible for notification of the University’s data holdings to the Information Commissioner. Notification consists of a description of the data and data subjects; a description of the purposes for which the data is held and also the recipients to whom it may be disclosed; details of any known transfers to non-EEA countries.
25.4 The notification document is updated annually and the exercise ensures that the University’s notification is accurate. Schools and services will be contacted on an annual basis to check that the data they hold falls within the purposes stated within the notification document.
