
Dr Kathy Wilson leads a team of expert teachers and researchers who contribute to the course.
This is a two year part-time programme designed to provide qualified dental practitioners, who also hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation in Dentistry from a UK university or an appropriate equivalent postgraduate qualification from a UK university, an opportunity to build on the academic skills acquired at Diploma level and is primarily research based.
The aim of the programme is to deliver training in the skills of planning, conducting and presenting a research study in the field of conscious sedation and anxiety management.
The programme offers the opportunity of carrying out a research project allied to the School’s research strategy. We provide a lecture/seminar programme covering a wide range of research issues including research governance, research ethics, qualitative and quantitative methods, research design and statistical methods. Students are encouraged to publish their research work in scientific journals.
