Newcastle awarded the Athena SWAN Bronze

recognising the commitment to the advancement and promotion of the careers of women in Science, Engineering and Technology

As a result of the Vice-Chancellor’s Think Tank on Gender Balance in Academic Careers the University signed up to the Athena SWAN Charter in January 2009. The Charter recognises the commitment to the advancement and promotion of the careers of women in Science, Engineering and Technology and the excellence of our work in this area has been recognised with a Bronze Award.
