As a member of the School of ECLS you are entitled to borrow items from, and use resources in, the Resource Centre.The Centre is located on the second floor North block of the King George VI building (see map page),
Simply show your smartcard and give your details at the Issue Desk to register.
You are then entitled to borrow up to a maximum of 20 items. Most items can be borrowed for a loan period of 4 weeks, although some of the popular titles are available on 3 day loans. All REFERENCE ONLY books cannot be removed from the Resource Centre.
All items can be reserved.
If items fall overdue you will incur fines
at the rate of 15p per item per day. You are advised therefore to keep in touch with the Resource Centre either by phone, text, email or in person to renew your loans.
Strictly NO FOOD or DRINK can be consumed in the Resource Centre
The Resource Centre houses more than 20,000 books including:
Art, Behaviour Management, D&T, Education, Education Psychology, Fiction, Geography, History, ICT, Literacy, Maths, Modern Foreign Languages, Numeracy, Pedagogy, Philosophy for Children, PSHE, Religious Education, Reference, Research, Science, Special Needs, Teaching Practice, Thinking Skills, Technology.

Go to SEARCHSTAR where you can browse the catalogue, check loans, reserve books and write reviews.
Please use the book returns box located by the main door and fill out the book loan form at the Issue Desk when the desk is unattended.
Monday - Thursday: 8.00 am to 6.30 pm
Friday: 8.00 am to 6.00 pm
The Issue Desk is staffed each day from 10.30am – 2.00pm and 2.30pm until closing time.
The Resource Centre is closed for Christmas and Easter holidays but open for all the half term breaks.
