Therapy Sessions

Each child will need to attend for 12 weeks in total.

Each child will need to attend for 12 weeks in total. All sessions run after school. Each week, the child will attend for two individual sessions. These will be on different days of the week but will remain the same days throughout clinic.

A programme of therapy is provided which has been specifically developed to meet a child’s individual learning strengths and needs. It is expected that the parent or primary carer will attend therapy sessions and observe these from a position of informed knowledge, that is, they will be provided with a session plan that details the aims and activities of each therapy session.

After therapy, the parents, are provided with a comprehensive report detailing their child's progress within the clinic.

Options for the future include:

  • A further period of therapy at the Clinic at a more advanced level
  • Referral to another professional body for further input and support as deemed appropriate,
  • Advice to school staff following therapy.
