Our Speech and Languages Sciences Section offers, in distance learning mode, The Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists Return to Practice Distance Learning Course. This course offered since 2005 is aimed at speech and language therapists who have been out of practice for more than two years and wish to register with the Health Professions Council (HPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist. We offer the following part-time PPD routes supported by the TDA as part of the PPD North East consortium.

MEd Practitioner Enquiry

The PPD North East consortium is a partnership between all twelve Local Authorities in the North East as well as four Universities – Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria and Sunderland. The consortium PPD website can be found at http://ppdne.org.uk . Students on PPD North East programmes may be eligible for TDA funding towards course fees.
