Newcastle University gives its graduates a 20% discount.
It's applicable if you decide to apply for Newcastle PGCE / PGCE School Direct programmes. Find more information on specific programmes:
Besides the 20% alumni fee discount for our graduates, you can get a Government bursary.
Secondary PGCE bursary
If you apply for a PGCE Secondary programme, you can get a bursary of £25,000 if you hold a:
If you hold a 2:2, you can get a bursary of £20,000.
Primary PGCE bursary
If you decide to apply for a PGCE Primary programme, you can get a bursary of £3,000.

Part-time coursesPart-time courses
These scholarships are for new entrants to part-time courses in 2016-17 (September/January start) will be:
£500 for any part-time programmes in Education.
£700 for any former ECLS PGCE student, Newcastle University undergraduate, or ECLS PGCert.
These scholarships reduces the 2016-17 part-time annual fee of £1,890. It takes the actual cost to £1,390 for ECLS scholarship students and £1,190 for alumni.
Part-time students continuing without interruption of transfer from PGcert to MEd remain eligible for 2015-16 scholarships. These are of £600 and £800 respectively.

Newcastle University International Postgraduate Scholarships (NUIPS)
You could be eligible to apply for a NUIPS award if you:
- have an offer of a place on any postgraduate taught degree
- have international/overseas status for fees purposes
- hold a first class honours degree and IELTS 7.0
We consider applicants holding 2:1 honours equivalent degree and IELTS 7.0.
We also consider applicants without an honours degree yet. This will be conditional on your final grade.
You can't make retrospective applications for a NUIPS award.
You may be eligible for a 20% reduction in postgraduate fees if you are Newcastle alumni.
International Family Discounts
Relatives of current international students or past international graduates could get a 10% discount.
