EEE Staff and Students win prestigious Best Paper Award at LDIA 2013 ConferenceThe 9th International Symposium on Linear Drives and Industry Applications (LDIA 2013 ) was held in Hangzhou in China between 7 – 10 July 2013.
The annual conference provides a forum for researchers, professionals and engineers from all over the world to present their latest researches and developments and to exchange information and experience in the fields of linear drives and other types of direct drive technologies.
It has been announced that Zheng Liu, Dr Wenping Cao, Zheng Tan, Bing Ji, Dr Xueguan Song and Professor Gui Yun Tian won the Best Paper Award for their paper on ‘Condition Monitoring of Doubly-Fed Induction Generators in Wind Farms’.
The authors of the winning paper are all based in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and are based in the Power Electronics, Drives and Machines (PEDM) and Communications, Sensors & Signal Processing (CSSP) Research Groups.
