Seminar by Prof. Steve Furber, School of Computer Science, University of Manchester.
14:30 - 15:30, 14th September 2007, Room: Research Beehive, Room 2.22
The UK microelectronics design research community has been working towards a 'Common Vision' of where the exciting research opportunities lie over the next ten to twenty years. This has culminated in the identification of four Grand Challenges that provide a focus for future research. In this seminar I will describe the process that has led to these Grand Challenges, what they are, and how the community can engage in them and in the process of refining and developing them in the future.
