MIMO in Mass-Market - Shifting the MIMO paradigm towards robustness and low cost

SSC Seminar by Saeid Nooshabadi, Senior Lecturer, University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia.

12:00 - 13:00, 16th October 2006, Room: 2.21 Research Beehive

Abstract: Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems are a technology enabler for future Giga bit per second wireless broadband. This presentation will provide an overview of MIMO systems, with an emphasis on mapping algorithm to Hardware The key issues are to deliver feasible hardware implementations for low-power, high performance, space- and cost-effective user mobile equipment with multiple antennas.

Speaker: Saeid Nooshabadi, Senior Lecturer, University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia. His research expertise and interest include VLSI circuits & systems design for communication DSP and image processing applications, integrated circuit design for reliable computing in deep submicron domain, and embedded systems.
