Newcastle University student triumphs in Inter-University Competition
The annual IET Northumbria Network was held this year at the University with competitors for Northumbria and Durham Universities in competition with us.
The event consists of a poster competition and a presentation from a representative of each university from Stage 3 of their degree programmes.
Our team consisted of Andrew Mundy who gave a presentation entitled "A Distributed Dynamic Programming Network Approach to Graph Analysis"), and three posters: Sarah Bannon ("Image acquisition for retinal prosthesis"), Jamillah Robinson ("Physical Layer Network coding") and Luke Timothy ("Wireless Image Transmission").

The judge was impressed by the overall standard of the work produced, and awarded a creditable Second Place to Luke Timothy for his poster.
Special mentions must go out to both Sarah and Jamillah who impressed everyone with their professionalism and subject knowledge.

Andrew Mundy stole the show with his presentation and was awarded first place in the presentation part of the competition.
We would like to place on record our pride in our students who represented the finest traditions of Newcastle University through their professional, friendly manner, and the high quality technical content of their work.
