EEE Poster - Quantum states of an alkylated silicon quantum dot

An electron state of a silicon quantum dot chemically protected by hydrocarbons, computed using the world leading AIMPRO software developed here. The quantum state is involved in the absorption and emission of light, an essential step in optoelectronic device operation. Such computer simulations enable the design of materials and devices from the atom, through such nanostructures, and beyond.
