Large-Scale Hybrid Bio-Electronic Networks for Next-Generation Brain-Machine Interfaces

Thesis Abstract

This project will aim to advance the state-of-the-art in electronic hardware design for brain-machine interfaces through the study and evaluation of existing biological network models. The analysis of the computational characteristics will lead to the derivation of the methodology for future optimized hardware designs that could be utilized in a variety of applications, from experimental neuroscience to practical neuroprosthetics.
