Stage II - Buggy Project

Over 12 weeks stage II students compete, in groups of 3, to design and construct an autonomous buggy based on a remote control car chassis. Sensors on the car detect the magnetic field from a wire buried in the floor (inductive guidance) and students create the electronics circuits and microprocessor software to attempt to get around the track in the fastest possible time. This project tests your electronic design / construction skills, teamwork and organisation and the winning team receives prizes and a highly coveted trophy!
