Cristina Dye recently delivered an invited talk at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA, in which she presented experimental and observational results from a series of her studies which challenge certain longstanding views in the field of child language acquisition, thereby opening the door to new areas of investigation. These findings were published in 2011 in the Journal of Linguistics (vol. 47), which is the Journal of the Linguistic Association of Great Britain and one of the top journals in the discipline.
