On Saturday 20th May, the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at the Globe Theatre in London will play host to an eerie candlelit reading of Terrors of the Night by writer, poet and satirist Thomas Nashe, 450 years on from his birth in 1567.
The script has been adapted by Kate De Rycker, a research associate on the Thomas Nashe Project at Newcastle University.
Kate said: “I’m really pleased to be working together with the director Jason Morell, who has some brilliant ideas about bringing out the psychological aspect of this work. Together with Peter Hamilton Dyer as the beleaguered Nashe, Caroline Faber as Nashe’s internal voice, and the musician Ansuman Biswas setting the tone, this is going to be an unmissable event!'
