Triple E Challenge

Triple E Challenge

The School has joined forces with Newcastle University’s Careers Service to offer all second year undergraduates the opportunity to take time out from studying and experience a real-life business challenge.

This fast-paced and professional event involves collaborative team work. Students work in small groups to:

  • understand the challenge
  • identify problems
  • find solutions
  • develop their product
  • write a presentation to pitch their product

Each team will deliver their pitch to panels of industry experts. This will include former SELLL students working in the arts, media, business and teaching.

The winning teams will then pitch again on the main stage to showcase their ideas. Voting via mobile phones will identify an overall winner, who has developed the best innovative product for the challenge.

The event will finish with celebratory drinks and a networking reception.

James Annesley talks to students taking part in the challenge

Feedback from the Challenge revealed 75% of participants would recommend the event to students. Participants agreed it increased their awareness of the skills needed in their future professional working life.
