Module Choices

Module Choices

Students will be automatically registered for their compulsory modules, optional modules need to be submitted by Thursday 28th September.

Important Information

  • You must have completed your online registration before choosing your modules.

  • You will study a total of 120 credits, split as evenly as possible over both semesters. You must be registered for all 120 credits by the end of induction week.  

  • Your choices are not final; you have until the end of teaching week 2 to pick something else.

  • The module catalogue lists the aims, outlines, Reading Lists and assessments for each module.  If you are not sure which modules to choose, there will be the opportunity to speak to module leaders at the Module Fair in induction week

  • You will be asked for your module codes multiple times during the year. You should take the time to learn the codes as well as the titles.

Q100 - Linguistics

Q1R1/R2/R4/T4 - Linguistics with French/German/Spanish/Chinese or Japanese 

Q300: English Language and Literature and QW38: English Literature with Creative Writing do not have any optional modules at Stage 1, however module information can be found below.
