The null-subject parameter will be investigated in order to establish whether the correlations that it has been claimed to account for can be explained in terms of parameter interaction. The aim is to develop a typology of linguistic correlations and a theory of parameter interaction. ‘The Structure of Parametric Variation’ conference will be held at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, September 5th-7th 2005.
