EM Pricing

"I leveraged the EM Research Services for an urgent need to understand the benefits of one of our products at a microscopic level. The team was fantastic, very welcoming and rapidly understood what the main challenge was. They rapidly accommodated our non-routine request and produced fantastic images that really highlighted the concept behind the product benefit.  Each time they delivered with excellence and in a timely manner."
Dr Leticia Espinosa, Researcher, Analytical GCO, Procter & Gamble.

Pilot Funding Scheme Extended

Faculty of Medical Sciences

Wellcome Trust Institutional Strategic Support Fund Project

The Wellcome Trust, through its Institutional Strategic Support Fund (ISSF) to Newcastle University has provided some funding to enable the acquisition of preliminary research data to support grant applications.  The total amount of ISSF funding, which is available for allocation to FMS Principal Investigators from now up to the end of September 2013, is in the order of £100k.

This funding stream is targeted at those Principal Investigators with comparatively little or no resource available and is aimed at improving research grant application success.

The funding is available for allocation across the Faculty.  Costs must be defined and justified.  The scope of research data gathering across the Faculty is wide and this funding stream is available to support non-lab-based activity as well as lab-based activity.  Although researchers are encouraged to use the Faculty’s Scientific Facilities where possible, facilities outwith Newcastle may be used should the need arise and the justification be provided. It is not intended that this funding steam will support salary costs.

Application for funding should be made using the Gathering Preliminary Data Scheme - support for PIs form, available on the web on the PI Help Page or from the Research & Innovation Office.
