Background

I am currently a scientific officer in EMRS and I am involved in all aspects of electron microscopy, all the way up from sample processing to image analysis. I am also the resident bioimage analyst in the EM unit and I'm also studying for a PhD part time in this field. Research

In order of relevance: Bioimage analysis, 3D shape analysis; retina structural biology and Cylindroma tumour structural biology.

Teaching

I am frequently involved as a co-supervisor in MRes and UG projects. I also teach on the MRes EM workshop and provide 1 to 1 training for facility users on the microscopes. I have run workshops for image analysis software related to EM and provide this as a 1 to 1 service also.
