Swan Thermal Energy Systems Laboratory

The laboratory is a large acoustically isolated test centre which allows a wide range of thermal energy systems to be set up and tested. This new facility is located in the Stephenson Building at Newcastle University and is supported by SRIF3 funding.

Swan Trigeneration Research Facility

The test facility is currently being constructed to conduct research into Combined Heat and Power plus Cooling and the use of alternative fuels such as bio-oils and hydrogen. The facility is located in the Charles Parsons Building at the New and Renewable Energy Centre located in Blyth.
